Pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan terhadap Kinerja Guru dan Prestasi Siswa

Abstract

Gaya kepemimpinan merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang menentukan efektivitas pengelolaan pendidikan di sekolah. Gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan oleh kepala sekolah dapat memengaruhi kinerja guru dalam melaksanakan tugas profesionalnya serta berkontribusi terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja guru dan prestasi siswa melalui telaah berbagai teori dan hasil penelitian terdahulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan, yaitu menganalisis buku, jurnal ilmiah, dan berbagai sumber akademik yang relevan dengan kepemimpinan pendidikan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan yang efektif, khususnya gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dan suportif, mampu meningkatkan motivasi, disiplin, komitmen, kreativitas, serta kualitas pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru. Peningkatan kinerja guru tersebut berdampak pada terciptanya lingkungan belajar yang lebih kondusif dan berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan prestasi siswa. Sebaliknya, gaya kepemimpinan yang kurang efektif, seperti kepemimpinan otoriter, cenderung menurunkan motivasi dan partisipasi guru sehingga dapat berdampak negatif terhadap proses pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru dan prestasi siswa sebagai indikator mutu pendidikan di sekolah.
