Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam mengurangi perilaku bullying di lingkungan sekolah. Bullying masih menjadi masalah yang cukup sering terjadi dan dapat berdampak pada kondisi psikologis, sosial, serta proses belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan peran aktif kepala sekolah dalam menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang aman dan nyaman bagi peserta didik.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru, serta lingkungan sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah memiliki peran penting dalam membangun kebijakan, mengarahkan guru, serta menjalin kerja sama dengan orang tua dalam upaya pencegahan bullying. Selain itu, pembinaan karakter, pengawasan, dan pembentukan budaya sekolah yang positif juga menjadi faktor pendukung dalam mengurangi perilaku bullying.

Meskipun masih terdapat beberapa hambatan seperti minimnya keberanian siswa untuk melapor dan anggapan bahwa bullying verbal adalah hal biasa, upaya yang dilakukan secara bertahap menunjukkan adanya perubahan ke arah yang lebih baik. Secara keseluruhan, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang aktif, terbuka, dan kolaboratif mampu menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang lebih aman serta mendukung perkembangan peserta didik secara optimal.
